Psychological Tests Administered
There are hundreds of psychological tests, scales, instruments and checklists.
Often, one test battery or scale, with several subtests, will replace the need for many individual tests. For example, the Wechsler Memory Scale is a battery of classic neuropsychological tests of memory, encoding and learning. Such tests are described below as “multi-scale” test batteries.
Particularly because of my dual professional identity as a clinical and forensic psychologist, I try to rely on the most widely used, researched and respected psychological tests. For example, for psychodiagnostic personality testing I rely upon the Millon, PAI & MMPI families of tests in their latest editions for adults, teenagers and children. And for IQ, memory and achievement testing, I rely upon the gold standard Wechsler series of IQ and other cognitive tests for adults and children.
Some tests are listed below under two categories because they can be used for different purposes. These are just some of the selected tests I may choose to administer; they cannot nearly all be listed on one page, for all categories of testing.
